Who can apply through SATAC?
You must be 16 years old before you can enrol in a TAFE SA course. If you are under 16 years old, you can still apply for TAFE SA courses through SATAC, but you will need parental consent. Please contact SATAC before starting an online application.
How do SATAC preferences work?
SATAC will offer you the highest preference for which you are both eligible and competitive. If you miss out on an offer to your first preference you will compete for a place in each of your other preferences in the order they are listed. SATAC checks your eligibility and selection rank for every other preference.
What does eligible for consideration mean?
The status for my preference(s) says ‘Eligible for consideration’. What does this mean? This means that you have met the entry requirements for that course and can be placed into scheduled offer rounds for consideration of an offer.
What Does offered higher preference mean?
Your offer will be to the highest preference for which you are eligible and competitive enough. If you’re not made an offer to your first preference, but are eligible and competitive enough for your second preference, you’ll be made an offer to your second preference.
What does SATAC year 12 Rank mean?
The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) is a rank given to secondary school students on a range from 0 to 99.95. The ATAR shows how you performed in your studies compared to other students completing an Australian Year 12 program. SATAC calculates the ATAR for SACE and NTCET students.
How much does Tisc application cost?
You will need to submit any documentation directly to them. Now that there is no fee to apply through TISC, we think a TISC application is the best way for you to get an early offer (excluding Notre Dame) – and also keep your options completely open right up until the new academic year!
Can I change my preferences SATAC?
You can list up to three preferences in your SATAC application. You can change your preferences by logging in via My Application. A change of preference includes both changes to the order of existing preferences and the addition of new preferences to an application.
What is the difference between under review and under consideration?
Under review means the application is being viewed by hiring manager. Under consideration means after they have reviewed all application they have narrowed the candidates (very strong possibilities) to those with the best skills set and experiences that fit the job requirements.
What does referred to hiring manager mean?
Being referred simply means that your application was forwarded to the hiring manager for review and possible interview.
What happens if you don’t get Uni offers?
If you decline the offer, or you don’t get a decision within 21 days, you can add another choice. It might take universities and colleges longer than 21 days to reply – they have until midnight on 12 July to make their decisions, but it’s up to you whether you want to wait or replace them with a different choice.
Can I change my course after accepting?
Although once you have accepted an offer you are committed to going to that university or college, it is by no means too late to change your programme of study.
Is it hard to get a 90 ATAR?
Honestly it isnt so hard to get a 90+ atar, as around 16.5% of people who did the HSC in 2014 got an atar of 90.00 or higher. (Source) It is just about performing better than the top 16% of the state. Simple as that. Doing subjects you excel at and trying really hard will get you there if you are a capable individual.
